Artist Statement
My work brings together visual art and performance to explore identity, and transformation. I am drawn to the way people are shaped by experience, movement, and how they are seen by others. In my work, I use layering, repetition, gesture, and hands-on processes to let the materials change as the piece develops. Because I am also an active performer, I naturally think about audience, space, movement, and presence while I create. Photography allows me to move between real moments and constructed ones, connecting performance to image-making. At its core, my work is about where material, performance, and lived experience come together.
